Our documentary Hollywood Facing the Apocalypse, directed by Clara and Julia Kuperberg and produced by Wichita Films, explores how the nuclear threat has shaped American cinema and the way we imagine the end of the world.

Since Hiroshima, Hollywood has turned this fear into images: devastated cities, atomic creatures and ruined worlds. From On the Beach to Dr. Strangelove, from The Day After to Terminator, the film examines how cinema has condemned the prospect of total annihilation, turned it into spectacle and made it part of everyday life.
