They both insisted that they were innocent, went on trial, were condemned and executed on June 19th 1953.<\/strong> <br><br>The American public was split in half over the case and world opinion was outraged.The Rosenbergs left two children, Robert and Michael Rosenberg, aged 6 and 10.   Ethel\u2019s brother David was arrested in June 1950 and got a 15 year sentence.
